Green Valley was the first upscale neighborhood in Henderson, Nevada, and forms the heart of the Henderson master-planned neighborhoods. In fact, Green Valley was Southern Nevada’s very first master-planned community, built over a decade before Summerlin.
The Green Valley Master Community development was founded in 1978 in an 8,400-acre area of the southeast Las Vegas Valley. Smaller enclaves called Green Valley Ranch, Green Valley North and Green Valley South were built in later years within the boundaries of the master community. Green Valley Ranch is zoned with a choice of public, private and charter schools that are widely recognized as among the best schools in Clark County.
