Southern Highlands Real Estate

Southern Highlands is a luxury community in the picturesque foothills in the southwest portion of the Las Vegas Valley. Located along the I-15 just minutes from the Strip, and encompassing the praised private Southern Highlands Golf Club, Southern Highlands is part of the 89141 zip code.

Southern Highlands is the ultimate convergence of location and lifestyle. Set in the natural beauty of parks and trails, it’s easy to forget that necessities and conveniences are so close by.

This 2,300-acre master-planned community has over 20 distinct neighborhoods. “The Estates” includes the Southern Highlands Golf and Country Club and features homes ranging from $2 million to over $5 million. Inside the Estates are the subdivisions Vintage Valley, Castle Oaks, Eagle’s Landing and Olympia Hills.

The world-class Southern Highlands Golf Club is a prestigious course with an unmatched experience, promising privacy and indulgence in the secluded foothills of Las Vegas. With membership, you can expect a traditional, exclusive club experience, including caddie, valet service, and the excitement of playing on a nationally recognized course. Membership often has a waiting list, because Full Golf Members have unlimited access to all Club facilities, including golf course, driving range, practice facilities, fitness, tennis, swimming pool and other recreational amenities. Other membership options include the Young Executive Membership for those under 40, which includes all the amenities and benefits of the Full Golf Membership.

The Resident National Golf Membership is for those who belong to another Country Club and have a primary or secondary residence at least 200 miles outside Las Vegas. Resident National Members receive the same amenities and benefits as a Full Golf Member but with limited rounds of golf. A Sports/Social Membership is also available if you’re interested in other amenities more than golf. Sport/Social Members get unlimited use of all the Club’s facilities, including full-service fitness center, state-of-the-art cardiovascular center, group exercise & yoga studio, private training studios, luxurious spa services & treatments, lighted outdoor tennis courts, swimming pool, private poolside cabanas and outdoor hot tub as well as a children’s swimming pool and play area. This membership also offers a full range of social activities and events to take advantage of, including specialty dinners, themed parties, social gatherings and group outings.

Built in 1998, this course transformed an open piece of desert into a rival for the world’s best golf experiences in both play and beauty. Over the years, the Southern Highlands Golf Club has received many awards for both the course and the clubhouse.

The 42,000 square-foot Tuscan-style Clubhouse at Southern Highlands Golf Club projects a luxurious and soothing ambiance. This exclusive retreat has expansive picture windows, high wood-beamed ceilings, and a graceful stairway leading to elegantly furnished dining rooms with world-class amenities and personalized service. The Southern Highlands Country Club caters events of all sizes, from backyard barbecues to elaborate celebrations, with custom-built creative menus.

If you’d rather get outside with no memberships or greens fees required, there are plenty of options. The Southern Highlands Master Planned community is home to the six-acre Somerset Hills Park, featuring tennis courts, gazebos with barbecues, covered play park and a water spray park, operational from May to September.

You’ll also find the Southern Highlands Dog Park and several lush neighborhood parks, including Inzalaco Park, the Goett Family Park, the Jimmy Petty John Jr. Park, Stonewater Park and Olympia Sports Park. The latter boasts lighted soccer fields, basketball court, workout stations, a hilltop trail, shaded family picnic areas, playground structures and water play features, also open May through September.

Another popular luxury community is The Villages at Southern Highlands. The Villages’ distinct neighborhoods offer superior home design and construction created by Southern Nevada’s top premier builders.

A newer neighborhood starting to attract attention is The Cove at Southern Highlands. The original homes in this gated community include six floor plans built by Pulte. Options range from single-level two-bedroom homes at just over 2,000 square feet to large 3,400 square-foot two-story homes with four bedrooms. Home prices start at $500,000 and go up over $1,000,000. This community of course has its own separate entrance gate, community pool, and is widely known for its gorgeous and unique hillside views which are always lit up during the nighttime.

Being the farthest Southern located masterplan community has many advantages in having easy access to all the major freeways via the St. Rose interconnector, including the I-15 and 215. That means you can quickly get away to the Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area or the Lake Mead National Recreation Area by heading east, or go west to the breathtaking Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. You can also be in California or Arizona faster than you thought possible; with it to be at the border of Nevada and California in just mere 27 minutes and only 1 hour and 43 minutes to be in Bullhead Arizona. 

When you want to venture out for shopping, nightlife or travel, it’s a quick 10-minute trip to the South Strip, McCarran International Airport, or the acclaimed Town Square outdoor shopping area. This “city within a city” mecca of shopping, dining and entertainment is a favorite hangout for locals and a must-see destination for tourists.

The nearby Blue Diamond Road offers a back way to Red Rock, and has also seen exceptional business development in recent years. This includes large shopping plazas with offerings from home décor stores to office supplies to everyday household needs, as well as plenty of bars and restaurants.

For the kids, quality public, private and charter school options in Southern Highlands include Evelyn Stuckey Elementary School, Lois & Jerry Tarkanian Middle School, Desert Oasis High School, Coral Academy of Science, and Southern Highlands Prep School.

The south end of Southern Highlands is the area of The Estates highlighting custom home destinations and extravagance habitations, all behind a guard gate. The Enclave is likewise situated here comprising of 14 custom home models worked by Christopher Homes. The Southern Highlands Golf and Country Club is a value enrollment club and a standout amongst the most costly in the territory. Two different neighborhoods inside Southern Highlands are Olympia Ridge and Augusta Canyon.
