Paradise and Mission Hills Real Estate

Paradise & Mission Hills are neighboring communities at the south-east end of Henderson, Nevada. Paradise Hills has a population of almost 16,000 while the smaller Mission Hills to the east is home to over 7,200 people.

Rated among the top neighborhoods to live and raise a family in Henderson, with high marks for diversity and attractiveness to young professionals, this community offers an upscale and private suburban feel. Most residents own their own homes, from custom hillside mansions to luxury condominiums. The homes in this area are mostly Rural Estates properties with no HOAs.

There are plenty of beautiful communities in the Las Vegas Valley, but the advantages of choosing this area for your home are like the advantages of having a custom-made suit over buying off the rack.

Most of the neighborhoods around town give you the option of buying a pre-owned home that was built decades ago, or a new home based on the floorplan models offered by the featured builders. While some of these homes are undeniably gorgeous, you only have certain options and upgrades with your plug-and-play spec home.

On the flipside, Paradise Hills and Mission Hills offer prime lots where you can build your own custom dream home, with all the features and amenities you want. Start your imagination flowing, because you can include any number of bedrooms or bathrooms, any configuration, and any materials you like. The sky is the limit when you have the power and freedom to design exactly what you want.

Paradise and Mission Hills Community

Despite the privacy and quiet, remote atmosphere of Paradise and Mission Hills, close proximity to both the I-515 and I-215 freeways give easy access to all corners of the Las Vegas Valley. Whether you want to go to Green Valley, Summerlin, North Las Vegas or the world-famous Las Vegas Strip, you’ll get there in no time with the fast-moving freeway system.

Even the majestic Red Rock Canyon and Mount Charleston on the far side of the valley are easy to get to. But you have access to a wealth of adventures closer to home, from the Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area and the Lake Mead National Recreation Area to the historic Hoover Dam and Clark County Wetlands Park, as well as countless other natural getaways and an abundance of parks.

Paradise and Mission Hills Recreation

The gorgeous custom homes and rural hillside estates in Paradise Hills and Mission Hills are perfectly suited to an area full of parks and trails for hiking, biking, exploring and playing. Many of these stunning houses come equipped with RV parking for your RV, ATV, boat or other recreational toys, so you can take advantage of outdoor desert activities like off-road three-wheeling or four-wheeling. And the nearby Lake Mead is a perfect place for a lovely weekend day trip, where you can enjoy boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing or other water activities.

The Off Road Vehicle Park by Loki Loop Trail at the foot of College Drive gives ample opportunity for playing around with your ATV. And the McCullough Hills Trailhead on Mission Drive gives easy access to a local treasure, the 8-mile McCullough Hills Trail. This multi-purpose hiking path winds through the Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area to Anthem, offering unmatched views of Henderson’s mountains to the east, Red Rock Canyon to the west, and the sparkling beauty of Las Vegas lights.

Equally close is the Equestrian Park South and Trailhead, featuring equestrian arena, dog park, picnic areas and both paved and unpaved trails. This connects to the River Mountains Loop Trail, an ambitious 34-mile outdoor recreation gem offering scenic views, plentiful wildlife, and the Mojave Desert’s vast beauty. Suitable for riding bikes or horses, as well as hiking or walking your dog, this impressive trail connects the Lake Mead National Recreation Area, Hoover Dam, Henderson, Boulder City and other parts of the Las Vegas Valley.

Paradise and Mission Hills Parks

Local parks offer substantial amenities as well. The 22-acre Mission Hills Park is built for family fun with basketball, pickleball and tennis courts, ball field, multi-purpose fields, playground, splash pad, picnic shelters and barbecues. O’Callaghan Park has basketball, volleyball and tennis courts, a ball field, horseshoe pits, picnic shelters and dog park.

And don’t miss the spacious Hidden Falls Park & Amargosa Trailhead featuring basketball court, skate park, dog park, barbecues, picnic shelters, splash pad, walking trails and more.

Just a few minutes north, the large Heritage Park has multi-purpose fields, amphitheater, outdoor classrooms, dog park, splash pad, play area, and picnic shelters. Countless smaller neighborhood parks and the Union Pacific Trailhead give even more opportunity for playing, exploring and exercise.

Paradise and Mission Hills Golfing

If golf is more your style, you’ll find plenty of top-notch courses within minutes from your door.

Cascata Golf Club

The regal mountain-backed Cascata to the east, a par-72 course featuring stunning vistas at every turn, lush fairways, lakes, streams and a 3,600-foot peak at Red Mountain. The 37,000-square-foot Tuscan-style clubhouse delivers Old World ambiance combined with unassuming luxury, and the dining room offers a diverse appetizing menu for every taste.

DragonRidge Country Club

To the west you’ll find DragonRidge Country Club, a breathtaking 18-hole championship golf course recently awarded Best Private Golf Course in southern Nevada and voted by locals as one of the best places to get married in Las Vegas. The impressive clubhouse and event facility is surrounded by more than 170 acres of rolling hills overlooking the Las Vegas skyline. Two popular restaurants with eclectic seasonal menus feature both elegant and casual cuisine, with indoor and outdoor lounge areas, while the main ballroom and party venues boast some of the best city views in the valley.

Desert Willow Golf Course

Just a few minutes further down the road is the Desert Willow Golf Course, the most challenging executive course in Southern Nevada. The award-winning family-friendly par-60 course offers a satisfying challenge for players of all skill levels. Carved out of the Black Mountain foothills, the 18-hole course features 3,811 yards of hilly terrain, demanding sand traps, water and undulating greens.

Paradise and Mission Hills Amenities

When you’re in the mood for culture instead of nature, you have lots of options. Only minutes from Boulder City, you can escape the grind in favor of a leisurely stroll through small-town antique shops and art galleries. You can also spend the afternoon riding the rails at the Nevada State Railroad Museum, discovering the area’s historical significance at the Hoover Dam Museum, or exploring the world-famous Hoover Dam itself.

Of course, you could always head north instead of south on the I-515. In less than half an hour, you’ll find yourself in downtown Las Vegas, home to countless museums, tourist attractions, world-class entertainment and more. The Mob Museum, The Neon Museum and the Las Vegas Natural History Museum offer educational and entertaining escapes from the norm, all within minutes from each other.

Paradise and Mission Hills Shopping and Dining

There’s lots of opportunities for shopping and dining in the community. If you are in the mood for something special there’s the highly rated Ohjah Noodle House. Just off of East Horizon Ridge you can experience some amazing authentic Japanese cuisine. Perhaps you prefer Italian or a nice juicy steak? Il Chianti Italian Steak and Seafood has you covered and just up the street from Vons too or you can take a short drive to the Water Street District and try Juan’s delicious Flaming Fajitas! A redeveloped portion of downtown Henderson, Nevada. It includes stores, restaurants, and office and residential space. It also hosts numerous annual events, including festivals, parades, car shows, and a farmers’ market.

Gibson Springs or Green Valley, practically any type of store or cuisine is within a 15-minute drive. Which is exceptionally noteworthy considering all the recreational opportunities on your doorstep and the ease of access to so many shopping retailers for any home goods you need like Vons or the largest Smith’s Grocery in Nevada.  Paradise Hills and Mission Hills inarguably offer you the best of both worlds.
