There’s even an amphitheatre with grass seating for more than 3,000 people. A popular place for birthdays and special events, this park is built around an historic inverted riverbed thought to be the last of a large network that used to cover the area.

For something even bigger, head just a bit north. The Northwest Las Vegas community is home to Floyd Lamb Park, an impressive 2,040-acre park complete with wildlife, lush vegetation, lakes and fantastic views of the Sheep and Spring Mountain Ranges.

This nature-lover’s paradise is centered on Tule Springs, a series of small natural lakes that came to life as a true oasis in the Mojave Desert. Tucked away inside the park is the historic Tule Springs Ranch, which demonstrates the lifestyle and mechanics of a traditional working ranch in early Las Vegas.

Floyd Lamb Park offers a range of programs and services, from a self-guided tour to special event facilities. Amenities include picnic areas, historic areas, walking and jogging paths, a hay barn, mountain bike trails and a BMX bike pump track.
